CCM Programmer (1st Shift: 7am - 3pm)

Description The CMM programmer programs and operates a coordinate measuring machine, which determines an object's dimensions and other qualities to ensure they match those shown on blueprints plans.
Essential Duties:
Responsible for programming the CMM.
Development of inspection methods for dimensional layouts and Process Capability Studies.
Develop inspection methods and set-ups.
Responsible for use of all laboratory and measurement equipment.
Assists in completion of PPAP and Approval Packets.
Supports all measuring requirements for the plant including the calibration of tools.
Assists in training employees on new and current quality testing equipment.
? Communicates as needed with internal and external customers regarding dimensional methods.
Provides technical support to Engineering Department on all prototype parts and fixture designs.
Assists in incoming inspection audits.
Participates in continuous improvement activities.
Supports RPS strategic plan by meeting monthly, quarterly and annual goals and objectives, including all KPIs and KPMs pertaining to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People and Environment as established by your manager.
Assumes direct responsibility for meeting primary goals and objectives, as well as assuming a shared and supporting responsibility with other peers and associates for meeting their primary goals and objectives RequirementsMS Office Skills especially in MS Excel and use preparing spreadsheets with formulas.
Intermediate math skills to include geometry and the metric system.
Ability to read blueprints.
Ability to write programs on CMM and use PC-DMIS software.
Ability to learn and use the functions of all measuring tools and equipment.
Knowledge of SPC and GD&T.
Ability to problem solve.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
